It is easy for you to accuse Mr. Hu Jintao on his speech regarding “邪道”and“正道”.
You will make the same speech if you are in his position under the same overall
system. There are too many bad guys in China, such as those eight elders in
1989 and others like them, plus Mr. Jiang Zemin and Li Peng and their category.
Compared with all those bad guys, Mr. Hu Jintao and Mr. Wen Jiabao are much
less evil, and can be counted as good people already. Have you forgotten the
speech Mr. Hu made when he visited Yale University? He said if the time could
reverse, he would love to attend the Yale University, which manifested the
common and natural trend of pursuit of knowledge and truth among most
intellectuals of China since its early history. Generally, I trusted Tsinghua-educated
engineers more than many others because they have common virtue of
intellectuals of China, they are well-educated and they are rational thinkers who
can present likewise problem solutions. Furthermore, he paid personal visits to
some American Christian charity workers in an orphanage in China to show his
respect and support. How many Chinese today have the same amount of respect and
personal admiration to some American Christian charity workers?
It is easy for many people today to follow a popular political trend
and launch accusations towards others who are not liked by their political
enemies in US, but this type of accusation is political motivated and thus wrong.
They are not helpful to anybody.
I have openly predicted that China will have a better future after Mr.
Jiang Zemin and Mr. Li Peng go to report to Marx or Buddha, and we will see
what the future can be.
I further believe that a fundamental reform in China guided by
conservative American Christians can be much better than a Chinese-led
revolution. It was not quite necessary for those Nationalists to launch the
revolution to overthrow the Ching dynasty; it was even worse to have the peasants-revolt
style revolution led by former Chairman Mao and those first generation
Communist Party members.
P. S.: An online Boxun writer blamed Mr. Hu Jintao for his speech
regarding “邪道”and“正道”which is a political speech and it is not necessary except
for political purpose to launch accusation to a mere political speech made
under such a political system.
